ArtisTie already made its debut in one of the international art scene’s most important fixtures. Appearing at the 56th International Art Exhibition Biennale di Venezia 2015, cable ties were an essential part of creating the Israeli artist Tsibi Geva’s artwork.
The artist used the ties to bind a load of used tyres brought over from Israel together, which created a grid covering the entire outside wall of the pavilion. A concept of “home”, of something familiar, is what forms the basis of the “Archeology of the Present”, the pavilion’s overall exhibition theme.
SapiSelco was the first company to believe in the success of the artwork (it was considered to be one of the most attractive pavilions at the event) and for this reason collaborated with the artist as his sponsor, supplying the ties with which the tyres were bound together.
The opening of the pavilion was also attended by the company’s representative, SapiSelco Chairman, Mr. Stefano Griggio, invited by way of thanks for the active commitment promoted by his company in order to raise awareness of the art world and collaborate with the newly launched ArtisTie project.
