Having studied on a fantastic degree in Silversmithing and Metal work at Camberwell College of Arts, I went on to do a Masters degree in Silversmithing and Jewellery at London Metropolitan University. It was here that I started to explore turning various objects that were deemed worthless into pieces of precious Jewellery, making the viewer reassess their original function while also introducing word play and humour wherever possible. From here I won a prestigious placement on the Craft Council’s ‘Next Move’ residency based at Plymouth College of Art where I was able to start my own business within the support of the College.
This wonderful opportunity enabled me to take part and exhibit in some exciting shows and exhibitions up and down the Country, becoming a Trustee for the Devon Guild of Craftsmen and teaching classes for Ofsted. I am still making jewellery while also working as a freelance Prop maker.
